A five-hundred bowling ball processional?
How could that be funny?
[We don’t even know where it’s headed.]
What, do we just throw out catchy phrases now?
Toss out a strip of tawdry wisdom like bacon
and watch the little piggies squeal, just like that.
But why not? What do we have to lose? Pride?
We lost that years ago.

I am a poet.
I write poems.
Titles and subjects and subsequent readership are all part of one fragmented figment of our universe, and it's nice that we take it so seriously. Hopefully the craft remains and grows stronger for our children.
